Check out jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara. I believe she goes by her first name as a stage name. She has done many studio recordings of her own, and performed with artists like Stanley Clarke/The Stanley Clarke Band, Chick Corea, the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, and Akiko Yano.
