Tedeschi Trucks Band "The Sky Is Crying"


Tedeschi Trucks Band covering Elmore James' "The Sky Is Crying", with Derek playing Duane Allman's 1959 sunburst Gibson Les Paul, and Marshall amplifier, at House of Blues in Boston, on December 13th, 2014.  This is absolute magic!  What a sound Derek can achieve, from a guitar, and amp, that gave Duane a definite voice, at the outset of the Allman Brothers Band's career.  Another gem.  Dig it!

Tedeschi Trucks Band "Keep On Growing"


Tedeschi Trucks Band performs "Keep On Growing" by Derek & The Dominoes at their show in Boston, on December 8th, 2014.  Derek is playing one of Duane Allman's original Les Paul's on this performance.  Duane had three main ones through his career.  This one, happens to be the 1959 sunburst.  Duane also had a 1957 gold top Les Paul, that Derek has played on numerous occasions, and a 1958 tobacco sunburst Les Paul.  All three of those guitars, now belong to Duane's daughter, Galadrielle Allman.

Eric Clapton, In The Spotlight: Nothing But The Blues





Check out a documentary, that was never officially released on video.  This is Eric Clapton's "Nothing But The Blues", (directed by Martin Scorsese), where Clapton played the music that inspires him... the blues.  The show was recorded at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California, on November 8th and 9th, 1994.  The band is:

Allman Brothers Band (feat. John Belushi) "Hey Bartender"

Actor John Belushi sits in on lead vocals with the Allman Brothers Band at their performance at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey.  They played the tune, "Hey Bartender", from the movie "The Blues Brothers", with who else... John Belushi!, during the band's encore for that show, which was sandwiched in the middle of their epic instrumental off the "Enlightened Rogues", record, that year, called, "Pegasus".
