In Memoriam: Leslie West

 


We fondly remember one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time, Mountain's Leslie West, who has died at the age of 75.  Rest In Peace, Leslie West.  You will be missed.  Many of his songs with Mountain have been featured here.  Above, are two versions of the Mountain song "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" to pay tribute.

In Memoriam: Debbie Duncan

We fondly remember, Minnesota jazz legend, vocalist, Debbie Duncan, based in Minneapolis, who has died at age 69 after a series of strokes.  She was originally from Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Detroit, Michigan.  Her life, and career are quite the story.

In Memoriam: Charley Pride

We remember the great legacy of country music legend and baseball player, Charley Pride.  He was the first widely recognized African American country music superstar.  Very sadly, Charley's cause of death was the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

In Memoriam: Hal Ketchum

We fondly remember, country music singer, Hal Ketchum, who passed away recently, at the age of 67 due to complications from dementia.  He was known for tunes such as "Small Town Saturday Night", "Past The Point of Rescue", "Sure Love", and many more.  Rest In Peace, Hal Ketchum.

Another song by Gregg Allman and the Sleeping Clock Revue.  This is the blues standard "Floating Bridge", originally recorded by Sleepy John Estes, and released on Gregg Allman's 2011 "Low Country Blues" record, produced by the man who put this particular concert and band together, the one and the only T Bone Burnett.
