Paul Butterfield Blues Band "Born Under A Bad Sign", NYC, 1970

Great, bluesy, and funky cover of Booker T. Jones and William Bell's "Born Under A Bad Sign" by The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.  No denying that Butterfield was perhaps the greatest modern blues harmonica player.  The band on this track includes:

Paul Butterfield: harmonica & vocals
Gene Dinwiddle: tenor & soprano saxophones
Ralph Wash: guitar
Rod Hicks: bass
Dennis Whitted: drums
Steve Madaio: trumpet
David Sanborn: alto saxophone
Trevor Lawrence: baritone saxophone

Butterfield put 110% into his harp playing all the time.  This is just one example.  Also, the funky rhythm on this version, laid down especially by Dennis Whitted on drums, and Ralph Wash on guitar, makes it an extra treat to listen to.  Groove blues!  Love it!
