Don Rendell Quintet "Antibes"

Cool free jazz piece.  This is the Don Rendell Quintet with "Antibes", a track off of the quintet's 1972 record.  Rendell plays saxes and flutes here.  Tenor and soprano saxophones, as well as alto and standard flute.  Here's the whole band lineup.

Bass – Jack Thorncroft
Drums – Trevor Tomkins
Soprano Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Flute, Flute [Alto] – Don Rendell
Supervised By [Supervision] – Denis Preston
Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute – Stan Robinson
Vibraphone, Flute – Peter Shade

  1. Just corrected a slight error on this blog entry. The album is called "Space Walk". But, this is NOT the title track. This is a tune, called "Antibes". It's very good, I must say.
