If you all are willing, let's revisit a tune, that was first posted here in 2012. This is another unique version of Steve Kimock's improvisational jam, "Ice Cream", taken from a performance at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 26th, 2012. The quartet is:
Steve Kimock: guitar
Bernie Worrell: keyboards
Andy Hess: bass
Wally Ingram: drums
Bernie Worrell used to play keys with Parliament-Funkadelic, and did some work with The Talking Heads. Andy Hess on bass, is a former member of both Gov't Mule, and The Black Crowes, and now is Kimock's bassist. Drummer Wally Ingram has worked with a wide range of artists including postpunk band Timbuk 3, and has toured and/or recorded with:
David Lindley
Bonnie Raitt
Eric Burdon
Jackson Browne
Stockholm Syndrome
Bruce Hornsby
Shawn Colvin
John Trudell
Anders Osborne
Art Garfunkel
Crowded House
Taj Mahal
Jerry Joseph
Col. Bruce Hampton
A great version of "Ice Cream". It's nice to revisit a familiar tune.
