John Coltrane "Live In Japan, 1966"

 


Full Album Friday, is stacked this week.  This would actually count as both a Full Album and Full Concert Friday, rolled into one.  This is the four disc set of John Coltrane's live performance in Japan in 1966.  What you have, really, is four different recordings, of each full length performance from 'Trane in this particular concert.  This is Coltrane's last group he ever played with and here are the full details on the recording, from the video's uploader Eric Martini.

Live in Japan is a four-disc box set by American saxophonist John Coltrane and his last group, featuring the quintet of Coltrane, his wife/pianist Alice, saxophonist/bass clarinetist Pharoah Sanders, bassist Jimmy Garrison and drummer Rashied Ali.

  1. Rats. Sorry to say this, folks. But the video of John Coltrane "Live In Japan" with that full album in it's entirety, has become unavailable.
