This week, Full Concert Friday, revisits a legendary performance by a ragtag bunch of ace musicians at the 1981 Montreux Jazz Festival, in Montreux, Switzerland. Hard to believe this was recorded 40 years ago! The all-star band includes David Sanborn on alto saxophone, Robben Ford from the initial incarnation of The Yellowjackets, on guitar, Neil Larsen (of Larsen Feiten Band fame) on keyboards (piano, Hammond organ and Hohner Clavinet), Marcus Miller on bass, Mike Mainieri from Steps Ahead on vibraphone, and Yellowjackets' drummer, Ricky Lawson.
