Illinois Jacquet "The Soul Explosion"


Another recording for Full Album Friday.  This is jazz tenor saxophone legend Illinois Jacquet and his recording "The Soul Explosion" released on Prestige Records in 1969.  There are standards, original compositions, and other tunes, on this recording.  A couple of the standards happened to be penned by such musical luminaries as W.C. Handy (father of the blues as we know it), and Frank Sinatra.  The track listing is:
