We fondly remember, Dick Dale, the king of surf guitar, who passed away this week. He is mentioned often in the context of surf guitar, but, also happened to be one of the most popular musicians of the post-swing era. His two biggest songs "Pipeline" and "Misirlou" have been featured on this blog over the years. Writer Dave Hunter pays tribute to Dale in an obituary written for Premier Guitar magazine.
