Larry Coryell 1943-2017

More memories of Larry Coryell, in an interview he did, last year, with Premier Guitar magazine.

The interview article, includes different videos of his songs.

"Sanpaku", the second of two singles released on the same disc.  The other is called "Barefoot Man".

A live concert featuring Larry Coryell and his band Eleventh House, in the 1970s.  The concert took place in Oslo, Norway in 1975.  At this time, Coryell was playing a Swedish built Hagstrom Swede electric guitar.

Here are the details on the Eleventh House gig in Oslo.

Band Lineup:

Michael Lawrence- trumpet
Alphonse Mouzon- drums
Larry Coryell- guitar
John Lee- bass
Mike Mandel- keyboards

Set List:

1. Cover Girl (A. Mouzon)
2. Low-Lee-Tah (L. Coryell)
3. Funky Waltz (A. Mouzon)
4. The Other Side (M. Lawrence)
5. Diedra (M. Mandel)
6. Some Greasy Stuff (A. Mouzon)

Coryell was also a fabulous acoustic jazz guitarist, and there is a video of him playing with fellow jazz guitar legends John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia, during their "Meeting of The Spirits" concert tour that took place in 1979 and 1980.  The video in the tribute is from Valentine's Day, 1979.  Finally, there is a video of Coryell giving a mini lesson on how to improvise as a jazz guitarist.
