Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove, Kenny Garrett, Dave Holland, & Roy Haynes "Salt Peanuts"

Happy Birthday, Dizzy Gillespie!  To honor his birth, (after mentioning one of his recordings weeks ago), yours truly has found one of his songs.  This is not Gillespie's original version.  But, it is a great cover.  A live rendition of Gillespie's "Salt Peanuts", performed by a quintet of jazz legends that includes:

Herbie Hancock: piano & vocals
Kenny Garrett: alto saxophone
Roy Hargrove: trumpet
Dave Holland: bass
Roy Haynes: drums

The performance was recorded on May 15th, 2003 during the 50th anniversary celebration of Charlie Parker & Dizzy Gillespie's "Jazz At Massey Hall" concert, at the same venue where the record was made.  Massey Hall, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
