Check out this tune. This is "Mercury Blues" written by K.C. Douglas and Robert Geddins, in 1949, as performed by The Steve Miller Blues Band at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, on the same afternoon bill with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and Electric Flag. The audio of the performance exists. Check this out.
