Yellowjackets "Matinee Idol"

Totally digging into this tune, and this band at the moment.  The Yellowjackets were another '80s jazz fusion band, and what is noteworthy, is that one of their original members, was guitarist Robben Ford, who has made a name for himself as a blues and jam band player throughout most of his career.  Well, he started out in a jazz fusion band, albeit very briefly.  Here is a real groovy tune by them, from their 1981 self titled debut.  The song, "Matinee Idol".

  1. I must correct myself, on something I mentioned about guitar players on this record. Robben Ford did indeed play in The Yellowjackets. But, he did so, at the start of the band, in the late 1970s, around 1977-'78. In '81, it was Michael Landau playing guitar in the band, and on this record.
