King Curtis "Memphis Soul Stew"

Check this out.  R&B tenor sax man King Curtis (who played with the likes of Aretha Franklin and others, and heavily influenced Bruce Springsteen's longtime sax man Clarence Clemons), plays his signature song off his best album, 1971's "Live At Fillmore West".  This is "Memphis Soul Stew" in which King Curtis introduces the whole of his band and gives them places to shine (among the members are Billy Preston on B3, Cornell Dupree on guitar, Jerry Jemmott on bass and Bernard Purdie on drums), before running down an awesome funk jam in the latter half of the tune.

I have this album, someplace, and will review the whole of it when and if said record can be found in my vast collection.  Stay tuned.
