Willie Nelson "Always On My Mind"

Willie Nelson performs one of his classic songs, at the 2010 Glastonbury Festival, in England.  This one has always been a favorite of yours truly.  "Always On My Mind".  Nelson, did not write the ballad, nor did he record it first.  It was written by Mark James, Johnny Christopher, and Wayne Carson.  The tune, is a modern standard of popular music, and Nelson, was not even the first artist to record it.  Brenda Lee, first did so, in 1972.  A timeless song.

In Memoriam: Lynn Anderson

We remember, country music singer, Lynn Anderson, who just passed away.  She is a legend of the genre, and her biggest hit song, is included in a video, at the bottom of the article, in her memory... "Rose Garden".  Rest In Peace.

Buddy Guy "Thick Like Mississippi Mud"

Another single from Buddy Guy's new record "Born To Play Guitar". This one is "Thick Like Mississippi Mud".  FYI, the record was released, yesterday.

Warren Haynes (feat. Railroad Earth) "Spots of Time"

Great song by Warren Haynes and Railroad Earth, from the just released "Ashes & Dust" record.  This is called "Spots of Time".  Yes, it's Warren's original song.  But, it hearkens back to some of the great roots and rock and roll bands of our time, like Van Morrison, The Grateful Dead, and, The Band.
