Woody Shaw "Theme for Maxine"

From Bret "Jazz Video Guy" Primack, here is Woody Shaw on trumpet with "Theme for Maxine".  Apparently, according to a comment on the video, Woody Shaw's manager, Maxine Gordon, who was married to tenor saxophone legend and fellow jazz legend, Dexter Gordon, was the inspiration for this tune.  Maxine Gordon is the mother of Woody Shaw III.  Maxine Gordon wrote a book recently released entitled "Sophisticated Giant: The Life and Legacy of Dexter Gordon".  The band lineup for this performance includes Woody Shaw on trumpet, Dag Arnesen on piano, Bjorn Alterhaug on upright bass, and Billy Hart on drums and courtesy of NRK, the video was recorded at the 1987 Kongsberg Jazz Festival.
