In memoriam: Joe Sample

Another musical hero of yours truly, has passed away and gone on to play with the angel band.  Joe Sample, the influential and legendary keyboardist for The Crusaders, and all around jazz, and R&B piano wizard, who was also a founder of The Crusaders with his childhood friend, tenor saxophonist Wilton Felder, as the two grew up together in Houston, Texas.

To honor the memory of Joe Sample, here is one of his best solo recordings.  This is a composition entitled "Spellbound" from Joe's 1989 album of the same name.  Rest In Peace, Joe Sample.

  1. Sorry, folks. But the video for "Spellbound" as a part of this Joe Sample tribute, has been removed. Going to have to work and see if I can find another version to post here.
