The Allman Brothers Band @ Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee, July 12th, 1986

This past Sunday marks 28 years since this show happened.  But, in July of 1986, long before their official reunion, the Allman Brothers came back together for a show for the Charlie Daniels Band's Volunteer Jam at Starwood Amphitheater, in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 12th, 1986.  This is appropriate to post as in less than a month, yours truly will be attending a couple of the final shows for the Allman Brothers at the Peach Music Festival.

In this show, the band included:

Dickey Betts - guitar, vocals
Gregg Allman - organ, vocals
Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson - drums
Butch Trucks - drums
"Dangerous" Dan Toler - guitar
Chuck Leavell - piano
Bruce Waibel - bass
Jerry McCoy - bass

Charlie Daniels introduced the band.  The set list was:
