In memoriam: George Duke

One of the great jazz fusion and funk keyboardists of our time, George Duke, has passed away.  Yours truly has posted about his music a number of times on this blog, and he was one of the innovators of modern electric jazz to be sure.  His solo work, and also, the work he did with Stanley Clarke, is legendary.  Yours truly was surely a fan.  He will be missed.  Rest In Peace, George Duke.

In his memory, check out this video of Duke playing in a band with drummer Billy Cobham, during the golden age of jazz fusion, and the year at which it's popularity peaked, in 1976.
