Jerry Lee Lewis and Willie Nelson covering Hank Williams Sr.'s "Jambalaya". Not sure what concert this is from or what year it was recorded. But this is too cool! Check it out. Happy 89th birthday, Willie Nelson!

Full Concert Friday this week, capturing The Allman Brothers Band in their heyday with the original lineup at the Fillmore East in New York City on September 23rd, 1970.
The Allman Brothers Band - Full Concert
Recorded Live: 9/23/1970 - Fillmore East (New York, NY)
From their recently released blues record "Heavy Load Blues", here is Gov't Mule with "Make It Rain".
From Bret "Jazz Video Guy" Primack, here are Elvin Jones on drums and McCoy Tyner on piano playing "Island Birdie" at the 1982 Antibes Jazz Festival. The full quintet includes:
We fondly remember blues legend Guitar Shorty, who passed away recently, at age 87. Guitar Shorty played with a number of bluesmen and had his own extremely successful career, as a musician and showman. In the obituary, check out a video of Shorty playing "A Flip With That Lick".
Silvan Zingg & Ladyva playing Silvan's Stomp at XIII Blues & Boogie Reunion organized by LluĂs Coloma at Nova Jazz Cava in Terrassa on 6th January 2017.
A tribute to Procol Harum's Singer/Piano player GARY BROOKER and masterful Hammond Organ player MATTHEW FISHER. With their iconic and tune 'A Whiter Shade of Pale'
This is such a special song for me as it was the very first song I learnt to play on the Hammond. I really hope you enjoy.
Lachy Doley on #HammondOrgan #Piano and Vocals
@Jackie James Barnes on Drums
Joel Burton on Bass
Recorded at Oceanic Studios
Filmed by Frace Mercado at Church St Studios
A great tribute, as we continue to pay respects to and will always, always remember the one and the only Gary Brooker of Procol Harum.
A special yet short and sweet treat, in lieu of Full Album Friday, this week. The one and the only, Roy Haynes, who is 97 years old and still playing the drums. This is another video from Bret "Jazz Video Guy" Primack. Dig it.
Part two of Oteil & Friends going beyond The Grateful Dead as part of their March 12th, 2022, performance at The Capitol Theater, covering "Hot 'Lanta" by The Allman Brothers Band, Bob Dylan's "Tough Mama", the late, great Neal Casal's "Superhighway", Eric Krasno's "Unconditional Love", "Believe It Or Not", and "New Potato Caboose".

Oteil Burbridge's band Oteil & Friends covering The Grateful Dead at The Capitol Theatre on March 12th, 2022. Covering Grateful Dead songs in both portions of these videos from Relix magazine. Part one features "Touch of Grey", "Scarlet Begonias" and "Estimated Prophet".
Another Gov't Mule soundcheck track. This is their cover of Bobby "Blue" Bland's "Ain't No Love (In The Heart of The City)" from Bland's "Dreamer" album released in 1977. The Mule recorded it for their "Heavy Load Blues" record which is now available. Enjoy this one, and check out the record, too.
Full Concert Friday this week takes us to Newport, Rhode Island, and the 1994 Newport Jazz Festival, with a performance by the one and the only Buddy Guy from August 14th, 1994. Sorry everyone. Cannot find a full set list for this gig. But check it out and enjoy, nonetheless.
Another great early Charlie Daniels tune, recorded with The Jaguars, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the 1960s, on a 45 RPM record. This one is called "In The Middle of A Heartache".
From their 1988 record "Kilimanjaro", here are The Rippingtons with "Morocco", one of their most popular "smooth jazz" jazz fusion/pop tunes.
For Full Concert Friday this week. This is a collection of performances all featuring Herbie and Tony collaborating with Carlos Santana during the July 1981 Japanese jazz festival, Live Under the Sky. This video was recently uploaded without the presence of the Herbie Hancock composition, "Saturday Night." That oversight has been corrected and now this video contains ALL of the clips from LUTS 1981 featuring these musicians that I am aware exists.

From Bret "Jazz Video Guy" Primack on YouTube. Here is jazz alto saxophone legend Jackie McLean playing the composition "Mr. E" honoring the drummer in the band. The band features Jackie McLean on alto saxophone, Rene McLean on tenor saxophone, Alan Palmer on piano, Nat Reeves on double bass, and "Mr. E" himself, Eric McPherson, on drums.
Happy Birthday to the one and the only Warren Haynes! From Gov't Mule's latest record "Heavy Load Blues" here is their cover of Albert King's "Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home", a song that has been posted here before, at least the Gov't Mule rendition of it. This performance took place last fall at Levitt Pavilion Steelstacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on September 14th, 2021.
Another very early, zany jukebox tune from Charlie Daniels & The Jaguars, recorded in 1960, called "Robot Romp". This is a funny tune! Nowhere near as successful as what Charlie would record with The Charlie Daniels Band, but, the rest, as they say, is history.
Another live performance by Joe Bonamassa and his band. The venue for this one is Radio City Music Hall in New York City, part of a live record and DVD. The tune is called "One Less Cross To Bear".
