Al Jarreau wrote or performed, many great songs. Here's his cover of Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" from a performance in 1976.
A favorite Jarreau performance of mine, has to be his cover (with Bob James on keys and David Sanborn on alto sax), of the bluesy jazz and pop standard, "Since I Fell For You", written by Buddy Johnson, in 1945. Two versions. The studio track with Bob James and David Sanborn, and, a live version, with fellow jazz singer, Debbie Davis.
