Foghat "Slow Ride"

One of yours truly's favorite rock and roll songs, with slide guitar.  This is Foghat's classic, "Slow Ride", recorded, in 1975.  Rest In Peace, "Lonesome Dave", Dave Peverett, on vocals, and slide guitar wizard, Rod Price.  This is the jam version of the tune, off of Foghat's "Fool For The City" record.  Dig it!

Grateful Dead "Hell In A Bucket"

Another tune from the Grateful Dead.  This is a song written by Bob Weir, the late, great, Brent Mydland, and, John Barlow.  "I may be going to hell in a bucket, baby.  But, at least I'm enjoying the ride."

Big Joe Williams "Brother James"

Check out this 1937 recording by bluesman Big Joe Williams.  It features Williams singing, Sonny Boy Williamson I. (John Lee Curtis Williamson), on harmonica, and Robert Lee McCoy (later to be known as Robert Nighthawk), on guitar.

Grateful Dead "Easy To Love You"

Remembering former Grateful Dead keyboardist, Brent Mydland, who played with The Grateful Dead for eleven years, from 1979 until his passing in 1990.  Here he is, singing lead vocals, and playing piano with the band on the tune, "Easy To Love You".  This performance marked a return of the tune to the Grateful Dead's set, for the first time in a decade, (it had last been played, in 1980), and is taken from their March 15th, 1990 show at the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland.  This show happened, four months before he passed.  Rest In Peace, Brent Mydland.
