Eric Clapton, In The Spotlight: Nothing But The Blues

Check out a documentary, that was never officially released on video.  This is Eric Clapton's "Nothing But The Blues", (directed by Martin Scorsese), where Clapton played the music that inspires him... the blues.  The show was recorded at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California, on November 8th and 9th, 1994.  The band is:

Allman Brothers Band (feat. John Belushi) "Hey Bartender"

Actor John Belushi sits in on lead vocals with the Allman Brothers Band at their performance at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey.  They played the tune, "Hey Bartender", from the movie "The Blues Brothers", with who else... John Belushi!, during the band's encore for that show, which was sandwiched in the middle of their epic instrumental off the "Enlightened Rogues", record, that year, called, "Pegasus".

Chris Potter's Underground "The Wheel"

Really neat song by jazz band Chris Potter's Underground, called "The Wheel".  Featured musicians are Chris Potter on tenor saxophone, Craig Taborn on Rhodes piano, Adam Rogers on guitar, and Nate Smith, on drums.

Larry Carlton and Robben Ford, sit in with a ragtag bunch of blues musicians in Paris, France, for a jam.  Ford and Carlton are the only two in here that yours truly recognizes.  But, this is quite the jam session nonetheless. 

Quinn Sullivan

An interview with Buddy Guy's 14 year old guitar protege Quinn Sullivan, who took the world by storm as a guitarist at age six and is continuing to succeed in his career to this point.  Yet another rising star guitar player to take note of, and someone, who also has recorded a few albums.  Quinn's albums, have been featured in Spotify Sunday listings, and, he's been featured in other videos, on this blog.  Check out this video.
